George actually met Johnny and June in person several times in the late '80's, and ever since then, held the dream of one day forming his own Johnny Cash tribute band. With the help of some amazing local musicians (and some good fortune), George met the wonderful people that shared his vision. George "Johnny" Richard, has a baritone voice that reminds all of the "golden-throated" Cash. Our female vocalist, Marie "June" Ragan, accompanies George for duets, as well as performing a powerful rendition of Patsy Cline songs.

Our marvelous musicians, Shawn "Luther Perkins" Emery, Marty "Marshall Grant" Morrissey, Wayne "W.S. Holland" Wanser and Donny Ray "Hank Williams" Quenneville passionately bring that familiar, authentic Cash sound. Donny Ray enjoys belting-out classic Hank Williams songs! A few months ago, we were very fortunate and honored to have an incredible sound man join our show...Frank Paulik. Many thanks to Dennis Fox, who graciously lends his support when needed for stage lighting and standing-in for our guitarists.

We have performed at the Apple Island RV Resort in South Hero, Enosburg Opera House in a dual-tribute performance with Mark Shelton as Elvis Presley, the Franklin County Field Days in Enosburg, the Vermont Dairy Festival in Enosburg, Shelburne Sugarworks in Shelburne, the Community Bible Church in S. Burlington, the Bayside Pavilion in St. Albans, the Wounded Warrior Project's Oktoberfest in Shelburne, the Moose Lodge in S. Burlington, Colors Helping Others in Alburgh, and CareOne in Millbury, MA. We were also featured on "The:30" and a second news segment on WCAX, as well as a great article in the Burlington Free Press! We recently performed during WOKO's Big Change Roundup's remote broadcast (Facebook live) on February 12 at the Moose Lodge in S. Burlington. Sarah Spenser was a great MC, and we enjoyed working with her! Together with the Moose Lodge and Moose Legionnaires, we raised over $1700 for the UVM Children's Hospital!

To honor "The Man in Black" and the shows he performed at Folsom Prison and San Quentin State Prison, The Johnny Cash Tribute Show has performed for inmates at six Vermont correctional facilities so far: the Northeast Correctional Complex, the Northwest State Correctional Facility, the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, the Southern State Correctional Facility, and the Maple Valley Regional Correctional Facility and the Northern State Correctional Facility. The inmates, superintendents, staff and volunteers in attendance were very appreciative of the band's performances and enjoyed our shows!
